Committee Membership Composition:

  • The MCOECN appoints five representatives, one from each of the five geographic regions comprising the MCOECN membership.  The MCOECN also appoints two alternates from each of the geographic regions.  The MCOECN also appoints an MCOECN staff member, and a staff member alternate to the committee.

  • OASBO appoints twelve (at large) members to the committee, attempting to represent local, city, vocational, ESC, large urban, and small K-12 entities.  OASBO also appoints a staff member, and a staff member alternate to the committee.

  • ODE appoints two representatives, and up to two alternates to the committee.

  • The SSDT is represented by various staff members as needs dictate.

Committee Appointment Duration:

  • The length of term that a member or alternate to the committee may serve is at the discretion of the appointing organization, and is not dictated by the committee. 

Committee Functions and Purpose:

  • The purpose of the committee is to provide feedback and advice to the SSDT, and to the appointing organizations (MCOECN, OASBO, and ODE) on matters pertaining to the development and maintenance of the OECN State Software (EMIS, SAAS/EIS, SAAS/VIS, USAS, and USPS).

  • Alternates are welcome and encouraged to attend all meetings of the committee.

  • The committee is purely advisory in nature and has no governance or budgetary authority.  As such, all recommendations are made as consensus determinations of those in attendance at the meeting(s).  Advisory committees are not subject to Ohio Open Records laws.

  • No labels
